Blue Cheese and Pear Tartlets
Yes, I know it sounds difficult and fancy, but it's not. This is one of those recipes that impresses your guests; however, it's really the rice krispie treat of savory appetizers and so easy, peasy
4 ounces blue cheese, crumbled; 1 ripe pear - peeled, cored, and chopped; 2 T light cream; ground black pepper to taste; and
1 (2.1 oz....) package mini phyllo tart shells
1. Prebake phyllo shells according to package directions. Set aside to cool.
2. Mix together blue cheese, pear, and cream. Season to taste with pepper. Spoon mixture into cooled shells.
3. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 15 minutes. Serve warm.
Seriously, that is all there is to it. The difficult part is making enough to keep up with your guests.
